Louisiana Attorney General Jeff Landry

Jeff Landry grew up in the small Cajun town of St. Martinville. His mother was a school teacher and his Dad was a small-town architect. Jeff worked in the sugarcane fields and joined the National Guard while still in high school, before becoming a decorated veteran of Desert Storm. He worked his way through college by continuing to serve others as a local police officer and sheriff’s deputy.

After graduating from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, he started his own oil and gas service company—all while taking night classes and ultimately earning a law degree from Loyola University.

Jeff’s next step was a big one. As an outsider, a new face and a proud Cajun, he shocked the political establishment by winning a seat in the U.S. Congress where he was a consistent conservative voice for the values we cherish.

As Louisiana’s Attorney General, he has fought to protect the citizens of this state. Jeff has stood up to government overreach, protected consumers and children from criminals and worked to make our state an icon for liberty and common sense.

Jeff and his wife, Sharon, are raising their son, J.T., in Acadiana, just miles from where Jeff grew up.
